Happiness is Your Birthright

I once believed happiness was a destination, achieved with service, a healthy marriage, a great career, thriving kids, a nice car, a big house, and money in the bank. But life was always shy of perfect, so I was never happy. By the time I realized happiness was not a destination but a  journey, I’d sacrificed a marriage, burned countless bridges with my two children, torched a growing career, and alienated most of my family of origin. Disillusionment, discontent, and miscommunication had eroded the person I once was.

I didn’t recognize myself.

Facing myself in the mirror, I looked deeply into my own eyes, searching desperately for some sign of life, a pathway around or through the pain. But gazing back at me were empty eyes, devoid of any feeling; hopeless, sad, directionless. Twenty-three years of committed marriage were grinding to a halt, and the shame of a failed relationship threatened to discredit the successes I’d experienced so far in my career.

Everyone and everything I loved was gone.

I questioned my purpose. I wrestled with my worth. It appeared to me that life was at an end.

He makes the complex simple and shows you how to accurately diagnose problems and strategize to effect true, lasting change."

"Ron was a therapist to me and my wife for several months. He gave us straightforward pointers and tricks that we still use daily, and today, our bond as a couple is solid. Openness, communication skills, and perseverance are tools we learned while in therapy with Ron and are the reason we're still together."
